Dare! Dare! Dare!
I deliberately opened the discussion in this post by repeating the word brave three times. I want to emphasize that the word I repeated above has a very strong meaning. Without it, there would be no great achievements in the history of mankind. Without it, no war will be won. Without it, man is like a weakfish who only goes with the current that only leads to failure and emptiness, he is reluctant to go against the current because he is enveloped by eternal fear. How important is courage?
Courage has always succeeded in being the initiator of extraordinary changes in the history of mankind.
Call it one of my idol figures, Thomas Alva Edison the inventor of the bulb (incandescent lamp). The light bulb was only one of Edison's great inventions, he held 1093 patents for many other great inventions. But this time I will only discuss how beautiful the role of courage in Edison's story was when he discovered the light bulb that we still use today.
I would like to invite you to explore the year 1978 (a flashback to the early years Edison started his invention)
Listen carefully to the story:
Starting in 1878, Edison began to develop an electric lighting system, which was expected to compete with traditional kerosene lamps. After many experiments, Edison began to put all his focus on the incandescent material of carbon filaments and succeeded in the first test on October 22, 1879.
But there is one thing that I want to highlight from the great story above, Do you know how many failures there were before its invention succeeded in carving history for the progress of human civilization? There are more than a thousand failures before the most beautiful one, once again! A thousand failures! Can you imagine how brave someone who doesn't give up after being "hit" by a thousand failures? Look! How beautiful is the role of courage in the story above? Edison dared to dream, Edison dared to start, Edison dared to rise after being hit by thousands of failures and one more thing, Edison dared to finish what he had started. Finish what you have started, Involve courage in it. The beauty of the role of courage from success.
How sweet are the fruits that are plucked from courage?
"Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat" is a Latin proverb that means "Luck favors the brave"
The quote above is also what I hold to this day.
Courage is the ultimate weapon in conquering many things. Including conquering the greatest enemy, namely yourself! Ego and lust are our own biggest enemies. How to beat it? Brave! Dare to apologize, Dare to admit mistakes. Once again courage takes on the sweetest role of the war against oneself.
Finally, Courage is the fertilizer to make all dreams and wishes come true. Without it, dreams and wishes will rot away, before they even grow.
That is all and thank you
